Dick Clarke's New Years' Rockin' Eve

Thoughts while watching:

Natsha Beddingford...looking fabulous in the sequin dress and the back up singers zig zag glittery dresses.I love the second song she sang ALOT. Never can remember the titles. I dunno..." You Ain't Taking Back From Me"?
Fergie put on weight. (...which is fine, I'm observing.) May be it's the camera.
I love Train. The lead singer carries a certain sexy about him that he doesn't even know he presents himself. The music works too. Well..that 'Marry Me" song is a bit much for me. Obviously going, if not already, be every wedding song of 2011.

Commercial with Jennifer Hudson for weight watchers. Wow! She looks so fabulous.

OK. I guess I was a bit late.
Anyways, my thoughts for 15 minutes tonight.

Happy New Year!

Wow it's come so fast and what a strange year it has been. It all started with losing so many loved ones that it didn't even seem normal. I kept waiting to hear bad news weekly. Then I continued to stick with a program to keep in peace and help me to love myself again.I graduated and all greatness came my way. I decided to make the choice to do what I love and make something out of it...and it worked. A lot of hard work, but it was all worth it and I expect more to come in the new year.

Again, thank you all for making , "Frock of Ages" a success. I want you to know how much I love doing it. It keeps me in sane and who knows, may be more opportunities will come my way. Thank you to those who read my articles on http://www.citydigz/ .com as well.

Have fun! Be safe and don't do anything that you know is wrong. It's nice to wake up the next day without regret and pain emotionally and physically.

Until next year...CHEERS!

Remember I'm open to promoting your thing, be it fashion, music or anything in the arts. Just email me and I'll post it...just so you know. I am getting more  viewers, ( not to brag ). It may help you out. :)

A person I admire...Tilda Swinton

The incredible faces of Tildon Swinton, the androgynous Siren.
Tilda Swinton is one of the most naturally beautiful woman of this era. On top of that she's high in the list of my top 10 of the most talented actors of all time. Her modelling work is stunning, ( I guess the photographer would receive a lot of the credit.) She's a woman of class, luxury, opulence and splendor.

THe Mannequin

This is my friend, Joey. He's always ahead of the game. Dresses impeccably every time I see him. I especially like his preppy classic look. A very talented man with a heart of gold...just love him.

Great guy outside H&M

You can work a sporty fitted winter coat as long as it's somewhat fitted and  paired it well with skinny jeans and sharp shoes. His personality was a true reflection  his out fit. Fun and alive.

Fantastic couple

Still playing around with my new camera, but I thought this might look good. It's good but you can't see the detailing on her boots and some textures. What you can see how they're personal style is alluring and edgy. Great bag and it's always a plus to wear sunglasses on a sunny winter day. Terrific outfit from the both of them. Bravo. The ladies coat may be vintage, I didn't ask , but I love it on her. It fits and suits her look. The gentleman is perfectly accessorized. not too much, just right.

New Year Outfits for inspiration...

Daily Blog

So I just watched Teena Marie" "Lovergirl", and I can't help but notice that we are truly in a stage of timeless fashion. Everything is back or pieces of everything from all eras are in style. Teena Marie was wearing a sequence top that any pop singer can pull off today. The only thing really different is the hair styles and maybe the make up. Really though, every things in style. Take a article of clothing that you always loved and wear it just be creative and work with it and create a fabulous outfit that is personal and stylish. You'll be surprised.

I go back to one of my jobs today. I have to admit lately it has been very irritating and out of control. "It's just retail",  I know, but it's ridiculous! Sometimes it just doesn't seem like it's worth the amount of money we make to work there, It's the most physically demanding retail job I have EVER had and people really don't care. It's annoying, not to mention disrespectful and reflects what kind of a person you are. I catch a lot of you who drop things on the floor and leave things in other departments or on tables...I've said this before. IT'S SO WRONG! I know we all do it! My sisters and cousins all admit they do and I told them what we have to deal with when they leave.
Kindly hang up the clothes you try on. A girl from Scotland who works with us said you would never see that where she is from. It shocks her. Only in North America is this considered normal. "It's our job, after all". F-off! NOT my job to clean your crap with that attitude you, the customer, carry. It's your job to hand whatever it is you don't want to someone if you don't want t o have it anymore. Even easier to bring it into the change room. There is where it all gets organized and put in the proper departments. GROW UP! If you wouldn't do it at home, don' do it at anyone elses...sorry. I just get all worked up. The best is pulling out the garment that is hung, and leave it. TWO SECONDS...shove it back in!

Ok. I'm done blowing up. I'm just bitter because I have to deal with that in a few hours. Be kind. treat clothes the way you would if they were yours...just do it. Please and thank you.

Designer of the Week: L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is a woman who can do it all and do it well. I"m a huge fan of Gwen and a bigger fan of No Doubt. Her clothes only proves how multi talented she is...and she's a mother! She's superwoman! L.A.M.B. represents everything I love a woman to wear. I love plaid, which she uses a lot and I love how her clothes can be classic casual chic and couture madness. It's wonderful how you can take pieces from any of her collections and mix them with other clothes that you have at home. The accessories are trendy but not too much, again can be mixed with any outfit. If I were a women I would definitely have her pieces in my closet.

Stefani made most of the clothing that she wore on stage with No Doubt, resulting in increasingly eclectic combinations. Stylist Andrea Lieberman introduced her to haute couture clothing, which led to Stefani launching a fashion line named L.A.M.B. in 2004.[11] The line takes influence from a variety of fashions, including Guatemalan, Japanese, and Jamaican styles.[64] The line achieved popularity among celebrities and is worn by stars such as Teri Hatcher, Nicole Kidman, and Stefani herself.[65][66] In June 2005, she expanded her collection with the less expensive Harajuku Lovers line, which she referred to as "a glorified merchandise line", with varied products including a camera, mobile phone charms, and undergarments.[67][68] In late 2006, Stefani released a limited edition line of dolls called "Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Fashion dolls". The dolls are inspired by the various costumes that Stefani and the Harajuku Girls wore while touring for the album.[69] In late summer 2007, Stefani launched a perfume, 'L', as a part of her L.A.M.B. collection of clothing and accessories. The perfume has high notes of sweet pea and rose.[70] In September 2008, Stefani released a fragrance line as a part of her Harajuku Lovers product line. There are five different fragrances based on the four Harajuku Girls and Stefani herself called 'Love', 'Lil' Angel', 'Music', 'Baby' and 'G' (Gwen).[71]
In 2004, Stefani showed interest in making film appearances and began auditioning for films such as Mr. & Mrs. Smith.[72] She made her acting debut playing Jean Harlow in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator in 2004 and was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by Cast in Motion Picture.[73] Scorsese, whose daughter was a No Doubt fan, showed reciprocal interest in casting Stefani after seeing her picture from a Marilyn Monroe-inspired photo shoot for Teen Vogue in 2003.[74][75] To prepare for the role, Stefani read two biographies and watched 18 of Harlow's films.[11] Shooting her part took four to five days, and Stefani had few lines.[76] Stefani lent her voice to the title character of Malice, a PS2 and Xbox video game in 2004; before completion, however, the company opted not to use No Doubt bandmembers' voices.[77]
