My view of the fireworks...

...I don't know? It just happened...I love it. All those colourful letter 'r's.

P.M. Blog

I'm getting some anxious viewers letting me know that they can't wait to see the Pride pics . I'll do my best , but I'm working ALL Pride in a gay establishment. So photos taken on my way to work, and on my way home and hopefully , if I can break for a bit.

HAPPPRIDE!!!

Laugh lots, dance like a freak, sing like you're "someone", but most of all be smart and be safe!:)

Rachel Bilson In Style Magazine 'Makeover'

I just got my In Style Makeover Magazine featuring one of the most beautiful women on earth. The article is fantastic and mind boggling. So well styled as Audrey Hepburn, Cindy Crawford, (unbelievable), and Ali McGraw! You have to pick up this issue, if you haven't already...you'll see. I never would have pointed her out as one of those with camelion looks.

Unfortunately, there were no photos of this photo shoot online yet.

Daily Blog

Well, Vancouver Pride has come. Vancouver is hosting the Gay Games, Pride and The Fireworks Show, so the city is rumbling.

Had to pick up a new job on the side for a gay Book Store called Little Sisters, which is refreshing meeting such kind people from the staff and the customers from all over the world. Fun times. Well that will be my contribution to Pride.

Many pics to come. Just very busy.

Please don't forget Vancouver Men's Fashion Week is coming! www.mensfashionweek.ca

I've been getting  alot of emails re:  the casting of the models. I believe it's very soon. Like next week soon. Not 100% sure, but I do know it's around the corner. Keep checking for postings and I will contact those I invited personally.

Thanks so much!
Happy Pride to those who celebrate!

Rafael

Happy Pride!

Colours!

Colour! It's so happening everywhere. Not just for Hip Hop or Hirajuko anymore. From primary colours to pastels to neon. On the runway everything looks fabulous! It's a show...walking mannequins, if you will, so here is what I have to say about colour.

Colour is FABULOUS!!! I think it can also be tricky. To me it's like an advanced  level in fashion trends. For the guys, I think the younger guys look great in those pastels and striped belts, short shorts white shoes, chestnut brown brogues...totally appropriate up to a certain age. When you dress that way as an adult male, it looks too rehearsed, planned. Us more 'mature ' men should wear some colour. Like a.. 'splash of", paired with an otherwise more monochromatic piece...that's how I like to wear colour.
It's Summer.
Men over 50 or look over 50 should NOT be wearing t-shirts that have silly brand name smeared all over it. So be careful with the coloured tee's. Chose a single colour tee and your perfect fitting jeans or shorts. It just looks better...to me. Now rock t- shirts will never go out of style. They're will be enough colour on that shirt to tame down what chose to wear below. Find a cool belt...with a buckle.
Hip Hop/Hype..keep doing what you're doing...always interesting. YOU guys wear the big ALIFE shirts or graffiti art an all...sick!
Don't get me wrong...I love Prada, but those floral pants? Who wears that?  It's too feminine, very Nathan Lane, but to each their own. That is what makes it difficult for me to actually like that part of the show.

Bold Colours!

Just taking my dogs out to poop and I saw this...I like it. She's happy.

Raphael Mazzucco...Vancouver's Fashion Photographer ."The Collective Artist"

Micon Worldwide
RAPHAEL MAZZUCCO is one of the world's most influential and talented fashion photographers; an artist whose seductive style has not only become iconic with clients such as Victoria's Secret, Guess Jeans, L'Oreal, Ralph Lauren and Bergdorf Goodman, but who has succeeded in capturing our attention in major publications that include French & Italian Vogue, L'Uomo Vogue, Marie Claire, L'Officiel, Playboy, Vanity Fair, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and many more. Raphael continues to define the look of popular culture, shooting portraiture for notable actors such as Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro, Matt Damon, Susan Sarandon, and Rachel Weisz. The past few years has brought about the publication of a book of Raphael's images entitled "SEXY" (commissioned by Victoria's Secret to celebrate their 10th anniversary) as well as his recent best selling book "EXPOSURE" which commemorates 25 years of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girls and is an homage to the beauty of the American woman.
Raphael's arrival onto the art scene has been met with critical acclaim following a two-year tour of exhibitions that traveled the globe, presenting his work to Milan, Florence, Melbourne, Los Angeles and culminating in New York. A native of Vancouver, Canada, Raphael has recently brought his considerable talent to bear in creating a new collection of images (as seen in his groundbreaking anthology - "Raphael Mazzucco Collected Art") that merge his love of the photograph with the sensuality of painting. The result produces a series of images that are startling in their honesty; images that in the same moment can inspire a deep pathos and spark new heights of exhilaration. American Photo has hailed him as "one of the top 50 photographers in the world to watch."
Raphael is currently partnering with music mogul Jimmy Iovine of Interscope Records to shoot an anthology of celebrity portraiture. The collection of photographs - some wildly provocative, some tongue in cheek - will be presented as a photo essay entitled "Culo by Mazzucco"; capturing a sensual moment in the lives of some of the most interesting and alluring women on the planet. Iconic faces from throughout the entertainment industry will be featured. The book is slated for a February 2011 release...and a part of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project - a fund that helps Afghani and Iraqi vets in their recovery.
Raphael's visual narrative continues to take us on a journey both geographic and emotional; through the black volcanic beaches of Iceland, the lush, green mountains of Northern Vietnam and the barren salt flats of the Dead Sea, all in a testimonial to some of the world's most beautiful women. His inspiration is drawn from the beauty of our ever-changing world. His ability to express himself from a profoundly raw perspective will continue not only to leave his imprimatur on our culture as a whole; but will ensure his legacy as one of the most eminent image-makers of our time.
